The author spends a lot of time detailing various studies in learning and memory, but offers little in the way of translating the studies into a method of teaching or learning golf.
Enjoyed reading it but didn't see a way to use his suggestions in a pragmatic way to improve my scores. Perhaps one of his points was to concern oneself less with score and more about playing golf for fun and in the process improve as a golfer. At any rate I read it and put it aside. About a year later spurred by something I read in a David Lee blog I picked up Hebron ' s book again and a lot of it resonated with me. I still would never recommend it to a beginner but I have found value in some of the more subtle aspects of Hebron ' s thoughts regarding one's mental gymnastics when playing golf.
Great book, everyone that plays golf should read it,is how you should approach the game. It has help me lower my scores and enjoy the game.

If you are looking for a book on golf philosophy this is your ticket. If you are looking for instruction forget it. Totally boring to me.
